WERE the people of Plymouth gripped with uncontrollable excitement at the unveiling of the welcome to Plymouth, Britain's Ocean City sign on the approach to our crumbling city. Is this any better than positively Plymouth? I think not. What a joke we are becoming, crumbling roads, derelict city centre, nuclear dump, rubbish dump for Europe, with ocean access to our incinerator, courtesy of Vivien Pengelly and her Conservative party. Grinning Tudor Evans' Labour group, hasn't shone either. His claim to fame was making councillors' jobs financially rewarding. Both the Labour and Tory administrations have gradually destroyed this once fine city over the last 40 years. City of Culture, don't make me laugh.
