THE chief executive of the Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA) has been honoured with an industry award.
Yvonne Orgill, who heads up the BMA from its base in Keele, was presented with the special achievement award by trade magazine kbbreview.
The award recognised Yvonne's work on the development of the Water Label, which indicates how much water a bathroom product uses.
The presentation was made as the BMA was also recognised in The Sentinel Business Awards in the business innovation category.
Water Label is now being rolled out across 27 European countries.
A spokesman for the BMA said: "Yvonne represents the UK bathroom industry on a number of forums in the UK and Europe.
"She regularly meets with Government and the European Commission. She is a high-profile spearhead of the European Water Label committee which promotes the successful Water Labelling Scheme. The scheme was introduced and developed by the BMA and was adopted across the 27 countries of Europe in 2012. She has been instrumental in promoting the Water Label which is now embraced by major builders merchants and retailers." Reported by This is 3 hours ago.
