Since its appointment as a main Jaguar dealer in April, Roger Young Ltd has been working alongside Jaguar UK to develop a new showroom concept. The first of these 'Arch concept' showrooms will be officially opened at the dealership's Saltash headquarters on January 2. The design will then be followed by Jaguar dealers throughout Europe. The build has seen a "huge personal investment" by Roger Young and 25 jobs have been created as a direct result of the franchise, taking the company's total employment to over 100. Roger, who also tends a 300 acre beef farm in Tavistock, was first awarded the franchise for Land Rover Defender, working alongside his wife Erica in Bolventor. Building on a strong reputation for honesty and integrity, the business began to grow rapidly and moved to larger premises at Saltash. The current Land Rover showroom was opened in May 1992 by Captain Mark Phillips, when Roger Young became a main dealer for the full Land Rover line-up. The dealership has continued to grow to become one of the most successful businesses in the Land Rover network, collecting multiple awards over the years for customer satisfaction and vehicle sales. It is still a family run business and Roger puts its success down to repeat business and word-of-mouth recommendation.
