This is South Devon -- Torquay hairdressers Kaboodles is sharing the secrets of the salon with a new programme of training courses. The Torre-based company is hoping to inspire local hairdressers by passing on the latest techniques in cutting, colouring and styling. Kaboodles has joined forces with Macadamia, one of the hairdressing industry's largest international companies. The courses cover a wide range of skills from how to do the classic cuts to innovative colouring and styling. Alex Walker, the salon's artistic director, believes the courses offer something new. "Our programme is unique because it incorporates the latest techniques in hairdressing and uses the latest hair products," he said. "At Kaboodles, we believe that education is the key to personal and professional growth. Our aim is to motivate and inspire people to reach their full potential. We believe that we can never stop learning. We are always pushing ourselves to be better and grow as hairdressers and individuals. We want to share this belief. We hope people will find our education inspirational and motivational as well as enjoyable. "Working with Macadamia has allowed us to take the best ideas from across Europe and the UK to come up with courses relevant to the demands of the contemporary salon business. Alex leads the Kaboodles artistic and education team. He was recently appointed European Creative Director of Macadamia. Macadamia is a huge product company operating in 125 countries worldwide, selling luxury oil-based products. Alex's work with Macadamia has taken him across Europe and the UK delivering education over the last year. Now those skills and knowledge are about to be put into place through the Kaboodles education programme.
