This is Kent --
UKIP leader Nigel Farage has locked horns with a local Tory MP over immigration from Romania and Bulgaria.
Mr Farage was responding to criticisms his party was scare-mongering over the number of immigrants to Britain after EU rules are relaxed in 2014.
Ukip claims that a significant proportion of the 29 million free to move throughout Europe could end up in Britain.
Mr Farage also announced that his party would be holding a 'day of action' in Folkestone.
Dover Tory MP Charlie Elphicke has told Ukip to be 'careful' what they warned of, as migrants will have the whole of Europe to choose from.
Some Romanian and Bulgarian nationals have strong ties to countries such as Germany, Austria and Spain, he said.
Mr Elphicke wants EU migrants to be barred from claiming certain benefits for two years to prevent, for instance, health tourism. Reported by This is 18 hours ago.
