Tesla has unveiled a range of Superchargers – high energy charging points – throughout Norway, allowing Model S owners to recharge their cars for free. The charging points are located near cities and on major roads; 90 per cent of Norwegians live within 200 miles of a Supercharger station. Superchargers can deliver up to 120kW and perform a half charge in 20 minutes. Tesla intends to extend the system to the UK in 2014.
Toyota has appointed Matt Harrison as the new president and managing director of Toyota GB. Harrison has worked with Toyota since 2000, in a series of marketing and planning roles. He replaces Jon Williams, who moves to a private Toyota distributor outside of Europe.
