This is South Wales --COSMIN Contra does not come across as a man who panders to the press.
When asked whether he could explain last week's defeat against Swansea City in the Europa League play-off first leg, the Petrolul Ploiesti manager's response was memorably brief.
"No," he said.
Okay, so what did he say to his players after their thumping at the Liberty Stadium?
"Nothing," Contra added.
Swansea hope the Petrolul boss will be equally gruff come in his press conference following tonight's second leg in Romania.
Michael Laudrup's men have come to Ploiesti intent on clinching their place in the Europa League group stages with the minimum of fuss.
Their focus will then switch to Sunday's Premier League trip to West Bromwich Albion, which is arguably the biggest game of the week given that only an extraordinary turnaround would see Swansea eliminated this evening.
After two domestic defeats, Gerhard Tremmel concedes, it would be nice to get something on the board at The Hawthorns this weekend.
Even if it does not happen, however, Tremmel is adamant that Swansea are not about to panic — because he feels their best is yet to come.
"We have three away games this week and then we have the international break," says the big German, who will start in goal against Petrolul.
"We know we need points as we are bottom at the moment, and we also want to go to the group stage in Europe.
"But I think after the international break is when the season really kicks off.
"We are not concerned about being bottom of the table because we have only played two games.
"We knew it was going to be a tough start against two of the biggest teams in the league. I'd be concerned if we were bottom after 10 or 15 games."
Just like everyone else at Swansea, Tremmel does not expect such a scenario to unfold.
"We had an early start with the European qualifiers, but we have only played two games in the league and it takes a while to get up and running," he adds.
"We had quite a short pre-season, but I don't think any team is at their peak yet and we will only see that in the next few weeks. That is the same for us.
"We still have more to come. The new players have settled in well so far, but the fine-tuning will come in the next few weeks and then the season will really kick off."
All being well, Swansea will have European football to think about as well as climbing the Premier League.
Such was their dominance in the first leg that Swansea could lose 3-0 tonight and still get through.
Yet Tremmel managed a shutout when in a similar position against Malmo earlier this month, and he does not plan to get beaten this time around either.
"First of all, a clean sheet would be good for us," he says.
"Every game is important and if you can win, it will always be better than not winning.
"Losing two games in a row will never be good so hopefully we can win with a clean sheet.
"We have to get the job done. Then we can look forward to some more great European games."
And Tremmel, like various other members of Laudrup's squad, can look forward to some more game-time.
A number of key figures will be absent in Eastern Europe tonight, but those who are here are full of confidence.
"The manager's idea from the start was to have a strong squad like this," Tremmel adds.
"He made the right decisions with the players he has brought in.
"We know it's going to be a long season and it will need every player, but believe me, whoever we have we will have a strong team." Reported by This is 12 hours ago.
