THE biggest bonsai exhibition in Britain is once again coming to Crawley.
Sussex Bonsai Group is hosting Bonsai World 2013 at K2 Crawley this weekend.
The art of growing bonsai, which literally translates as "plant in a tray", will be demonstrated at the event, which is expected to attract hundreds of visitors from across Europe.
When it was held in Crawley in 2011 enthusiasts from as far afield as Italy took part.
There will be more than 200 bonsai trees on display and, with 20 trade stands, everything that the enthusiast desires will be available.
There will be demonstrations from three experts, Ken Norman, John Armitage and Suthin Sukosolvist, from the USA.
Demonstrations of brush painting and Japanese embroidery will also take place, while a Japanese garden will be built.
A Japanese tea ceremony, traditional dancing and a talk on the history of the kimono will give an added Far East flavour.
The exhibition will take place in the main sports hall at the leisure centre, between 10am and 5pm on August 10 and 11.
Admission will be £6 per day or £10 for a weekend ticket, while accompanied children under 16 get free entry.
