OUR wonderful friends the Spanish seem to be going through a period of sabre-rattling that is all to familiar to us.
Are these people aware that their ailing economy depends largely upon tourism from Britain and that the biggest Spanish employer is in fact the Barclays Premier League?
This said, can anyone please answer the questions below regarding the stupidity of their dispute about the Spain/Gibraltar border?
The prime aim of the EU is to achieve a 'Europe with frontiers'. How does this equate with the bellicose threat above – or is this just another example to us of a member state cherry picking rules it wants to abide by? What a wonderful club to be in;
If Spain gets away with this aggression, how many people will continue to go on holiday to their cheap sunny Blackpools?;
If the Spaniards expect us to give them Gibraltar, do we then expect them to give back their territory just across the water in northern Morocco?
Clearly, we are tolerated only for our money, let's get ourselves out of the EU.
