FOREIGN students put their artistic abilities to the test during a visit to East Grinstead.
About 35 youngsters from East Grinstead's twin towns gathered for this year's Youth in Europe event, which was hailed a "huge success".
The teams arrived in town on July 12 and were challenged to paint their own towns on large boards in Queens Walk across the weekend.
The delegates also enjoyed a trip on the Bluebell Railway, a civic worship at St Swithun's Church and a feast at the Meridian Hall, which was attended by mayor Margaret Belsey.
The event was organised by the East Grinstead Town Twinning Association.
Member Ed Drury said: "All pronounced the weekend to have been a huge success, and all the effort and planning put into it by our chairman, Ken Averill, and all his helpers was worthwhile."
East Grinstead Town Twinning Association celebrated its 50th anniversary in November. Its twin towns are Bourg-de-Peage in France, Mindelheim in Germany, Sant Feliu de Guixols in Spain, Schwaz in Austria and Verbania in Italy. Reported by This is 8 minutes ago.
