A NEW theatre group has set up shop in Nottingham and London.

Edward Boott, who grew up in Wollaton, has founded Nonsuch Theatre to develop his artistic work as a director as well as offering professional physical theatre workshops across the country.

The 21-year-old studied drama at Fernwood School and Bilborough College before winning a sought-after place at the prestigious Rose Bruford College in Kent.

As a member of Nottingham Youth Theatre for over five years, he took part in numerous productions at the Sandfield Theatre, Galleries of Justice, the Robin Hood Pageant and Light Night events.

As part of his training, Edward worked with highly acclaimed theatre institutions across Europe, spending six months studying at Spain's premier drama school in Madrid and theatre companies in the UK, Poland and Sweden.

Earlier this year Nonsuch presented Acqua-Alta: Locked, Dropped And Smoking Marshmallows, a contemporary re-telling of the Noah's Ark story, which Edward hopes to showcase in Nottingham.

For the past two years Edward has led workshops for A-level students at Bilborough College and from September Nonsuch will be offering these countrywide.
