I WRITE to you as my father came from Swansea and always told me the Welsh have what he called a death wish.
By this he meant that if you are successful in life then all the people you knew when you were working your way up want to put you down.
This would appear to be true in the case of Swansea City AFC. They have been extremely successful in getting where they are but are now trying commit suicide by refusing to get into the transfer market and supporting their manager.
Do the directors not know that being in Europe will bring its own rewards which can be very lucrative?
My dad, David Jones, was a very successful businessman and worked hard for his family but also knew the rewards of a good calculated investment and he came from Mayhill.
It is my intention to visit the house where he was raised next year to see for myself remembering what he told me about the area and how to get out of places that others have planned for you but you really do not want.
